AIC Banasthali Vidyapith invites Students & Research Scholars for a 4-Week Women Entrepreneurship Development Program (WEDP) supported by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India. This unique program is tailored for aspiring Women entrepreneurs, Students and Research Scholars of Sciences, Management & Technology of Banasthali Vidyapith.

In today's rapidly evolving technological landscape, students wield immense potential to shape the future with groundbreaking solutions that address the needs of the masses. However, navigating the path from idea to startup requires more than technical prowess; it demands an understanding of the intricacies of entrepreneurship. Through this program, we aim to equip tech students with the insights and tools needed to venture into the startup world confidently, transforming their innovative technologies into viable business opportunities.
 

GUIDELINES:
1. Out of all the ideas received from applicants, 40 best ideas will be selected to participate
2. Applicants can participate as an individual or as a team.
3. Once enrolled, it is mandatory for participants to attend the complete program and work on assignments in between.
4. The Program is for the Management, Technology & Sciences students and Research Scholars.


Evaluation Criteria


    • Ideas that have a social impact through the usage of technology. 
    • The innovative idea has been well-researched and has business potential. 
    • Passion for starting a venture. 
    • Market validation is visible.

     

    TIMELINE:

    • Call for applications: 15th November, 2024
    • Last Date to Apply: 27th November, 2024
    • 1st Round of Shortlisting: 29th November, 2024
    • 2nd Round of Shortlisting: 2nd December, 2024 (50-60 selected ideas will each deliver an elevator pitch)
    • Result to be Announced: 27th December, 2024 (Selected 40 students would be attending WEDP)

Week-1

  • 1. Introduction about Entrepreneurship, Start-ups and their Characteristics
  • 2. Idea Generation Activity & Design Thinking
  • 3. Role of Support Agencies in Entrepreneurship Development (MSME, Banks, SIDBI, NSTEDB )
  • 4. Assess pre-feasibility of a Project, Prepare pre-feasibility Report and Preliminary Project Report (PPR)
  • 5. Lean Canvas Model- Work on the Identified Business Opportunity and its Evaluation
  • 6. Understanding Business Model & How to Prepare Business Model Canvas
  • 7. Success story Sharing by the Startup

Week-2

  • 1. Customer Discovery Process followed by Online & Offline Interviews.
  • 2. Concepts of Marketing & Market Survey : Need, Importance, Tools and Techniques
  • 3. Management : Goal Setting, Decision Making, Problem Solving Motivation,
  • 4. Leadership and Business Communication
  • 5. Importance of Team and How to build Team
  • 6. Understanding Intellectual Property Rights (Design, Patent, Copyright, Trademark)
  • 7. R&D Institutions: Technologies for commercialization
  • 8. Various Initiative & Organizations supporting Innovations and Entrepreneurship
  • 9. Expert Evaluation of the market survey conducted and Lean Canvas Prepared by the trainees.

Week-3

  • 1. Industrial Visit
  • 2. Book keeping & accounting procedure, Cash Flow Statement, working Capital
  • 3. Profitability, Balance Sheet , Break Even Point
  • 4. Legal formalities for Loan Disbursement
  • 5. Various Taxes Applicable to MSME
  • 6. Source of Funds (VCs, Angel Investors, Seed Fund )
  • 7. Case study on Entrepreneurship

Week-4

  • 1. Mentors will work with Teams on Business Model and Business Plan
  • 2. Business Model Presentation by teams
  • 3. Feedback & Action Plan
  • 4. Valedictory
